Sailor Moon Crystal Transformation Sequence

Has anyone else seen the first episode of Sailor Moon Crystal? It was mostly good, save for one key factor: The transformation sequence.
Dear God, it was bad. They did it computer generated instead of standard animation. While CGI may not be as big of a pet peeve for other people as it is for me, it's almost undeniable that it ended up clashing with the animation of the rest of the show. They had kept so close to the style of the manga, all the way down to some of the backgrounds almost appearing hand-drawn.
I don't know if I can keep watching. The transformation sequences are going to happen at least once every episode, and I don't know if I really feel like watching further due to the breaking of my suspension of disbelief. Anyone else having this problem?
