It's a size issue. You'll need to make the .gif smaller by reducing its resolution or cropping it. I can't remember what size is the largest an avatar can be though. I posted it somewhere.

Well my previous one of Charlotte was animated but that was set some time before this problem happened and it worked perfectly fine even before I tried changing it today. Changing it to a different .gif makes it freeze on the first fra--

Oh, I forgot about that. Though I thought it automatically resized it since that's what happened with my previous one. Weird... I'll go see if I can resize it.

It will resize it to the right proportions to fit as an avatar, but it won't make the file size smaller.
EDIT: https://soulthrow.forumotion.com/t152-gifs-as-avatars-currently-not-working there's the guidelines for avatar file sizes.

Yeah, I figured it out and I can't seem to get the intended gif to fit so oh well. Too many frames and all that bullshit
