Nintendo revealed more info regarding the 3DS Zelda title and the Wind Waker HD port this morning.

The 3DS title is confirmed to be a sequel to A Link to the Past and is titled The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Things to note are the interesting logo of the Triforce and its shadow (emphasis on the Dark World?) and the emphasis on it being "what happens to the characters after A Link to the Past." I also love the way they've redone the A Link to the Past artwork of Link for the new game.

Wind Waker HD will be doing away with the Tingle Tuner and instead featuring a bottle system where you can put a message in a bottle and set it to sea. The bottle will wash up on the shore of another player's game for them to read your message.

The biggest plus they revealed regarding the game: sailing can now go by faster with a button that speeds up how fast you sail. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION OF E3. Now if they could rework that Triforce hunting Tingle sidequest...

What do you guys think of these new developments?

Pretty awesome. Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda game so I'll be looking forward to its HD rerelease.

Even better, Zelda for the Wii U has been progressing much further than they had anticipated a few months ago. Miyamoto legitimately considered showcasing a trailer at E3 whereas a few months ago they were certain it wouldn't happen at all.

As long as you don't buy an XBox One you can always buy them used.
