And this happened...

The good news is that the chain took less than 50 tries (maybe about 30 or so) so there's a number to go by for a frame of reference... The bad news is that my first shiny was wasted on a shitty pokemon. At least it's gilded??

Lucky you.

Not as bad as my Shiny encounter. I found a shiny Sawsbuck and I used False Swipes bought it down to 1 HP, it used Takedown and killed itself.

Too bad Almomomola isn't an evolution of Luvdisc like it should be.
On the bright side, Luvdisc is banned to Ubers if it has Swift Swim on a team with Drizzle, so you have a shiny Uber-tier Pokemon.
