And for reference I started with 10 revives, 1 max potion, 30 ultra balls and 30 timer balls and ended with 2 revives, 1 max potion, 11 ultra balls and 30 timer balls. Stun spore, rock smash and playing off its confusion from outrage is actually pretty scary to gamble with.

I caught Rayquaza with a Timer Ball. I Toxic'd it and then kept throwing Timer balls at it until I finally had it. The turn I caught it it would have fainted if I hadn't been successful.

I would use timer balls if I actually knew how they work. I spent a lot of the battle just chucking balls at it and using revives so I figured that the counter wasn't going so they were pointless. Rayquaza had like -3 stages of defence or something from rock smash spam so it would have died from confusion if I hadn't caught it.
