Steel May Lose Its Resistance to Ghost and Dark

Not confirmed but it may happen.
My thoughts? Good! Fuck Jirachi. Plus it makes sweeping 6-0 with Chandelure pretty easy.

So then steel is super useless?

Steel would still be resistant to Normal, Grass, Ice, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Dragon, and Steel.

Steel is also resistant to (and super effective against) fairy type, so it's definitely not super useless.

In other news, dragon doesn't affect fairy type pokemon at all. They're really working hard to balance out the playing field by limiting dragons, huh?

Dragons dominate the metagame right now. You need to have a counter on your team for Garchomp, Dragonite, the Latis, and to a lesser extent, Kindgra, Salamence, and Hydreigon. By adding a type that is good against Dragon and also can't be hurt by it, now it's not an auto-slot in your team that you'll toss in a Dragon type.

Also, Mega Garchomp and Mega Ampharos are making their way into the game, so new scary Dragons to compete with. Dragon/Electric is especially frightening.
